Research Behind Thermography - Part 3
756 women with benign breast conditions were divided into two groups:
Group 1 had benign breast conditions with an abnormal thermogram
Group 2 had benign breast condition but with a NORMAL thermogram
After 10 years here's how things unfolded:
Group 1 - 41.2% developed breast cancer
Group 2 - 2.9% developed breast cancer
In our very first research article we discussed how benign breast conditions leave you at an elevated risk of developing breast cancer.
This usually means you are monitored very closely.
Many women in this category are having to get examined with mammograms, ultrasounds, etc. every three months.
This can be frustrating and extremely frightening having to deal with the emotional toll of worrying about something being wrong.
This study, however, reveals that thermography can provide peace of mind for women with benign breast conditions.
On the other hand thermography may reveal that women should be concerned and should be taking more action to improve their breast health.
Either way is better than sitting around waiting and worrying.
If I have a health problem I would rather know about it as soon as possible so I can take action.
The other major conclusion from this study is that an abnormal thermogram is ten times more important than family history when determining your risk of developing breast cancer.
How many times has your doctor told you that?
None?
You're not alone.
But now you know the research.
It's up to you to make the informed decision and to be proactive with your health.
